Ovo je Harvi Vajnstajn, čudovište… Skulptura “Casting Couch” će večeras dočekati oskarovce

Američki ulični umetnik Plastic Jesus koji je pre tri dana na holivudskom bulevaru postavio skulpturu Harvija Vajnstajna, izjavio je da je pomalo razočaran reakcijom prolaznika, preneli su danas lokalni mediji u SAD.

Skulptura zlatne boje prikazuje holivudskog producenta, koga je oko 100 žena optužilo za seksualno uznemiravanje, zlostavljanje i silovanje, kako sedi u blago otvorenoj kućnoj haljini držeći u jednoj ruci statuetu Oskara.

However, whilst many thought the ‘casting couch’ was a thing of the past it was clearly still a part of the Hollywood culture. For many years the exploitation of many hopefuls and established names in the industry was brushed under the carpet with their complaints of harassment and sexual abuse being ignore or worse. Delo nazvano “Casting Couch” (Uloge preko kreveta) postavljeno je preko puta pozorišta Dolbi gde će večeras biti održana 90. dodela nagrada američke Akademije filmskih umetnosti i nauka.

– Na moju žalost, mnogi ljudi su samo videli statuu Vajnstajna kako sedi i ništa drugo – rekao je umetnik i dodao da je njegova zamisao bila da prolaznik “sedne pored skulpture i shvati kako je sedeti pored čudovišta”.

Ovogodišnja dodela Oskara biće održana bez Vajnstajna jer ga je američka akademija posle izbijanja afere isključila iz članstva.
